Butterfield Inn Main Street Cottages Pet Policy
Butterfield Inn welcomes you and your pet. All of our cottages and our suite are designed to accommodate well‑mannered dogs and cats. To ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests, the following provisions apply. If you have questions about traveling with pets or accommodating Service Animals, our team is happy to assist.
Reservations & Fees
• Please notify us at the time of booking if you will be traveling with pets so we may prepare your accommodations appropriately.
• A refundable fee of $100 per stay and a non‑refundable fee of $30 per pet, per night will be applied. This fee helps cover additional cleaning and preparation of pet‑friendly lodging.
• A maximum of two domestic pets (dogs or cats), each weighing 40 lbs or less, may stay in each lodging unit.
• Unregistered pets will incur an additional $250 charge, plus the nightly pet fee.
• Service Animals are always welcome and are not subject to pet fees under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Pet Health & Cleanliness
• Pets must be healthy, free of fleas or ticks, and up‑to‑date on vaccinations.
• Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. If you need clean‑up supplies, reply to your check‑in text message.
• Guests bringing cats must provide their own litter box.
• Please do not allow pets on uncovered furniture or bedding. Pet blankets or towels are available upon request.
• Additional charges may apply for excessive cleaning or any damages caused by pets. Charges are based on the extent of cleaning or repair required.
Pet Supervision & Behavior
• Pets must remain under your control at all times—on a leash no longer than 6 feet or in a secure carrier when outside your lodging.
• Pets may remain in the room unattended only if they are secured inside a carrier.
• Guests must ensure pets do not create disturbances such as repeated barking, aggression, or damage to property or landscaping.
• If a pet becomes disruptive or poses a safety concern, it may not be left unattended and must remain under direct supervision.
• Guests are responsible for all property damage and any personal injuries caused by their pets.
Housekeeping
• For the safety of your pet and our staff, housekeeping cannot service rooms when pets are left unattended.
• To schedule housekeeping, please text us so pets can be removed from the room during cleaning.
Outdoor Areas
• Pets are welcome in designated outdoor spaces. Please keep them leashed and under control in shared areas, on trails, and around landscaping.
• Please do not allow pets to dig or disturb natural features on the property.
Management Rights
• Butterfield Inn may require guests to seek alternative accommodations—without refund—if their pets create repeated disturbances, act aggressively, or cause damage to staff, guests, or property.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest or pet at any time, for any reason.
